This photograph shows the John Hunt School Orchestra with Norman Pickering, about the year 1960. The School opened in

1955 as Trench Boys’ Modern School under Headmaster, Harold Fletcher.

It was renamed after John Hunt of Everest fame who regularly visited and took a great interest in the School. Later the School was made into a mixed Comprehensive School under Headmaster John Goddard.
