Allotments Committee
The Allotment Committee meets twice a year to discuss general management of the allotments and to consider the rental charge for plots which has remained at 10p per square metre since we took over management of the allotments from the Borough Council in 1995.
The allotments are sited at the end of Stanmore Drive, Trench.

We do have a waiting list for plots and sometimes we may not have anything available for several months.

ALLOTMENT COMMITTEE MINUTES September 2008
MINUTES of the Wrockwardine Wood & Trench Parish Council Allotment Committee Meeting held on Tuesday 30th September 2008 at the Parish Council Centre at 7.30pm.
PRESENT: Councillors K. Hanmer, M. Hanmer, D. Plant, J. Thompson and J.S. Uppal.
As the quorum was not met, the following items are for recommendation only and will be considered by the Full Council at the meeting on 11th March.
08/182 TO CONSIDER THE PROBLEM OF UNTENDED PLOTS
The Chair and Clerk visited the allotments and it was noted that plot 15 is very overgrown and has not been tended this year. The Clerk has tried to contact the tenant by leaving a telephone message but has not had any response. It was RESOLVED to write to the tenant of Plot 15 giving him until 1st November to respond.
The Clerk informed the committee that she has been informed that the tenant of Plot 1 is now willing to relinquish half of his very large plot. It was RESOLVED to split Plot 1 into two plots subject to confirmation from the tenant. It was noted that this plot will have to be measured again.
08/183 CORRESPONDENCE
There was no correspondence.
RECOMMENDED:
To allow the Society to acquire 23.75 square metres of plot 1 to use as a seating area at no charge, subject to the agreement of the tenant of plot 1.
To agree to the division of plot 1 to make two plots, subject to the agreement of the tenant.
