Wrockwardine Wood & Trench Parish Council held their first ever meeting on Friday 29th April 1988. Parish Councils have elections every four years and the next election will be held in May 2019.
The Councils consists of eleven Councillors, who cover three wards – Wrockwardine Wood Ward which is represented by two Councillors, Trench Ward which is represented by eight Councillors and East Ward which is represented by one Councillor.
The Parish Council has two staff members consisting of the Clerk and a Caretaker/Cleaner who are based at the Parish Council Centre, Church Road, Wrockwardine Wood.
Next election is in May 2023.
The Council maintains the Parish Council Centre which is a community building and manages allotments at Stanmore Drive.
The parish council meet on the 1st Monday of each month (except August) at 7pm in the Parish Centre. There is an opportunity on the agenda for residents to raise concerns at the meeting although this is limited to 3 minutes per person.
They also make representation to the local authority on planning matters and lobbies for improvements in footpaths, repair of potholes, street cleansing and grass verge and hedge cutting.
